ReDub

ReDub is a free browser party game where you and your friends redub famous scenes and vote on who butchered it best.

Pick a scene. Everyone records the same lines in their own voice. The dubs play back with no names on them, and the room votes for the funniest. It is never the good impressions that win.

How a round works

Someone picks a scene. Everyone gets the same lines and a record button, and can redo a take as many times as their dignity requires. All the dubs then play back on every screen at once with no names on them, the room votes, and the names come out with the scores.

Three modes

Classic. Everyone dubs the whole scene, then votes.

Chain. A telephone game across the scene. You only hear the part recorded right before yours, so the plot has usually wandered somewhere stupid by the last line.

Cast. Each player takes one character and records blind, never hearing anyone else. It stitches into one scene: a conversation between people who were never having the same conversation.

Where your recordings go

Nowhere. They live in the room while you play and are deleted when it closes. There is no feed and no archive. The only copy that survives is the one you save yourself.

ReDub plays the community dub packs made for The Choicer Voicer, the desktop dubbing game by YeahMaybe (https://yeahmaybe.itch.io/the-choicer-voicer), published by their makers on GameBanana (https://gamebanana.com/games/20674). ReDub is a separate game and is not affiliated with either. Each pack's maker is credited on its tile. If you made a pack and want it taken down, the copyright page on redub.tv says how, and it is handled quickly.
